Lately

I realized I had a bunch of pictures from the last couple months that I hadn't posted, so I decided to do one post with all of them. Here is what we have been up to over the last couple month.

Grandparents Day at Whitesburg Christian Academy

 We visited the Space Center

 

 Robbins played soccer for Whitesburg and had such a great time and the Warriors went 7-0!

We headed to Auburn for a football game for the first time in years, and I loved getting to show the kids, the loveliest village on the plains.

 

Robbins lost his first tooth!

 

Hosea got hitched! We headed back to Nashville for Elizabeth's and Andrew's wedding and had a great time.

 

 

 

Robbins went to Camp Nana and Pops and got to go to UK football practice and even got a tour of the facility and Coach Stoops office!

We had a great time at the Walter's this past weekend. Love these kiddos and loved spending time with Matt and Audrey!

Happy Halloween!

We had such a fun Halloween in our new neighborhood. Princess Elsa and the Storm Trooper were both so excited. We all went to a neighbors house for dinner for a little pre-party and then all the kids and families headed out from there. It was insane, and so fun. The kids got way to much candy, including a ridiculous amount of full size candy bars, what? Then we ended up hanging out at our next door neighbors and had a big night. It was such a good time and made us love our new neighborhood even more!

 

 

 

Happy Birthday Robbins!

Every year I like to write something special to the kids on their birthday. With the move, Robbins post got a bit delayed. I cannot believe that we have a 5 year old. It seems like just yesterday, I was having Jonathan's take out with the fam the night before I was induced and now you have started Pre K. There are so many words to describe you sweet boy so I will just list a few. You are:

empathetic

stubborn

funny

sensitive

strong

fearless

You are a whopping 48 inches tall and 48lbs. You wear a size Big Kids 1-2 shoe and 5/6/7 clothes. You just started Whitesburg Christian Academy and are thriving. Your dad and I are so grateful because it has helped your transition be so smooth, such an answered prayer. You are learning God's word and the way you communicate seems more like an adult than a kid sometimes. You sister worships you and drives you crazy. I love you guys, but you fight like it's your job, and I am about to add referee to my resume. As we dive head first into our new lives in Huntsville my prayer for you is that you have the confidence to be a leader, to make your own path and do what is right, even when those around you don't.

 

You verse for year 5 my boy is:

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Robbins Turns 5

Before we moved from Nashville we had a birthday party for Robbins with all his buds from church and school. It was equal parts birthday and goodbye party for all of us. Simple and fun. We had a little bit of drama with the inflatable company canceling that day, so we are now the proud owners of a giant inflatable water slide. At the time I was annoyed but now that summer is winding down I can tell you that it was a great investment! Robbins actual birthday was the Sunday we were leaving Ryan and Bryn's wedding so we had a big birthday breakfast at the hotel, presents and candles in pancakes and all.

 

 

 

Ryan & Bryn Tie the Knot

Back in August we headed to Charlottesville, VA for Uncle Reno and Bryn's wedding. It was such a beautiful weekend. From the rehearsal dinner to Robbins birthday breakfast on the 10th, we had a perfect weekend. The kids were the flower girl and ring bearer and they were precious and they especially love dancing with the band until 11:00! It was such a special weekend for them and Ryan and Bryn were so sweet to include them in everything and shower them with gifts all weekend! I love wedding's, they are such a picture of what God's love for us looks like, pure, unconditional and fun of course. My advice to Ryan and Bryn was strive for better than perfect, strive for real. It is so much better! Cheers to the happy couple! 

 

Landry and I attended the bridesmaid luncheon in the mountains. Beautiful views and great food, my kind of party!

The rehearsal dinner was so fun. Lots of great toasts and great memories with family and friends.

The walk down the aisle was more of a sprint, with a  little tumble at the alter.

 

 

 She loves her Uncle Reno.

 

 

 

They literally danced all night. Everyone was so sweet to them, spinning them around, putting them on shoulders. They may have gotten as much attention as the bride and groom. It's fun watching other young couples who don't have kids yet and how they are with kids. They were all so enthralled and doted on them, I loved seeing how great all those future parents will be. 

 

 

A special thanks to the Lowe's and Gardner's for hosting a beautiful weekend! I know it is something our kids will never forget!
