Landry's Baptism

We were forunate enough to have our families join us to celebrate Landry's baptism two weekends ago. We had such a great time seeing everyone and just hanging out, especially Robbins and William. They are two fun cousins for sure. It was such a blessing to have my grandmother there as well and have four generations of my family on stage as she was baptised. It was also awesome to have her wear what her dad, uncle, grandmother and great grandmother all wore when they were baptised.

We love our church for many reasons but one of them is that we feel like our pastor Carter is so real. He knows us and our family and when he prayed over Landry you could really hear and feel his sincerity which is so appreciated. J.Ed and I realize that it is not only us raising our children and in this culture and day in age we are so glad to have people like Carter, our community group and old friends that will help breathe life into our children so that they as Carter says, " Will never remeber a day that they didn't know Jesus". No presuure right??

We believe that infant baptism is a covenant we make with God and He makes with us. That we are commiting to raise our children in a way that we are striving to glorify Him in order for them to know and experience His love for them. Someone said something to me the other day that challenged me as a parent to think about what our real purpose is. Someone said, what if we were more concerned with our kids holiness instead to their happiness. I know right. I'm pretty sure the first would ultimatly lead to the last.

Anyways, we are so thankful to everyone who was here and for those that weren't that sent their love. It was a great time and truly a blessing for us to see how many people are loving and praying for our kiddos.

5 Months

Ms. Landry was 5 months last week! Once again, another month flying by. She is sitting up with assistance and loves playing with her feet. She is wearing 6-9 month clothes and eats any where from 5-7 oz. 5 times a day and oatmeal once a day. We just started solids this weekend but there will be a separate post for that. She is cooing and laughing out loud all the time. She is also content longer in one setting like the car, bouncer or play mat. Her hair is cracking me up, it's like a little tuft on top of her head or as J.Ed calls it, her div it. Unfortunately, she had her first ear infection this weekend and it was a double. She is still not over it and has fever so she has to head back to the Dr. in the a.m. Robbins was about this age when he got his first too. She also has a tooth coming in which is making the snot flow like water around here. She has the sweetest disposition and is very go with the flow which makes for fun nights at home all together with the light lasting so much longer. We had a great Easter and I will post about that soon. Hope everyone had a great ressurrection day and was able to thank Him for all he has done in order for us to live life and live it eternally. I know we are very grateful around here.
